Bioluminescence

The sea is full of wonders, and one of the most fascinating is bioluminescence. This natural phenomenon occurs when living organisms emit light, creating a magical glow in the dark waters. From tiny plankton to large jellyfish, bioluminescence is a stunning display of nature's beauty.

The illustrations in the series "Bioluminescence: the Light in the Dark" were a result of researching how to paint light that comes from within an object instead of light that is thrown onto objects.
